What Is Community Access Support on the Gold Coast?

Community access support on the Gold Coast means having a dedicated support worker who accompanies you to activities, events, and places in your local community that you'd like to attend but can't access independently. The Gold Coast offers a rich environment for community participation – from its world-famous beaches and markets to sporting clubs, community gardens, and cultural events – and our support workers help you access all of it.

Community participation is a fundamental NDIS goal. The NDIS recognises that social connection, recreation, and engagement with the broader community directly improve mental health, wellbeing, and long-term independence. Community access support is not just about getting out of the house – it's about building relationships, pursuing interests, and being an active member of your community in Queensland.

Our Gold Coast-based community access support workers are matched to participants based on shared interests, cultural background, communication style, and availability. If you enjoy the Surfers Paradise foreshore, the Robina Town Centre farmers market, sporting events at Cbus Super Stadium, or simply getting coffee in your local suburb, we'll find a worker who genuinely enjoys being there with you.

Community access support can also include attending medical appointments, government agency visits, library programs, volunteer work, or any activity that connects you to the wider Gold Coast community. For the complete list of NDIS services we offer on the Gold Coast, visit our Services page.
